Dr. Shawn Ariannia had a presentation at City and County Engineers Association (CCEA) of Los Angeles on September 6, 2016. The topic of his presentation was “Geotechnical Pavement Evaluation and Rehabilitation”. He discussed the most common issues and challenges of flexible pavements that cities in southern California deal with the most. The subjects he covered during the presentation included:

- Pavement Distress Types
- Common Treatment Techniques
- Discussion on FDR rehabilitation techniques and presenting some example projects
